Grant Description
This award funds the approved 2023-24 Public Health AmeriCorps program. No member may enroll prior to the approved start date of the member enrollment period.

Equal Heart will have 172 AmeriCorps members who will provide access to care and other services that meet public health needs in rural, distressed, and other under-resourced communities across five states, including Colorado, Hawaii, Texas, Tennessee, and Virginia.
At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for increasing access to care for 14,000 people with a change in behavior leading to an increase in health outcomes.
In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 300 who will be engaged in providing these services alongside the AmeriCorps members.
