Proposed Major Activities
Job Club
Peer Mentoring
Initiate Pre-Employment Training for Job Readiness Skill Strategies for Explaining Justice Involvement, and Integrity Assessments.
State Apprenticeship Agency will provide expertise to establish links between high quality apprenticeship experiences during incarceration and post-release that expands upon current offerings.

Workforce Development Programs and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation will increase programmatic accessibility for individuals with disabilities through the support of Disability Program Navigators.
The Jobs for Veterans State Grant Program will provide individualized career- and training-related services to eligible veterans and eligible persons with significant barriers to employment (SBES) and help employers fill their workforce needs with job-seeking veterans.
The Digital Equity Team is currently developing a digital access plan for the entire state and is available to provide technical assistance and digital navigators across the state.

Services will be provided to PROWD participants in Stages 2 and 3 involving digital literacy and technology devices including but not limited to laptops, tablets, cell phones, and internet hotspots.
On-line talent development tools are available to case managers and PROWD participants: My Colorado Journey and Pathful.

Brief Summary: CDLES aim is to increase the capacity of the justice and workforce system partnership, provide targeted employment services to incarcerated individuals as they approach community reentry, improve employment outcomes of returning citizens and the public safety of community members while reducing costs associated with high recidivism rates. The PROWD program aligns with one of governors top priorities to make Colorado one of the 10 safest states in the nation.
