Grant Description
Purpose: The purpose of these grant funds is to conduct activities that result in increased equity in access and, when eligible, UI benefit receipt.
Activities to be performed: Activities will center around improving awareness of the program, especially in communities with barriers to access; improving service delivery through the application process and in general; and developing a better understanding of the equity challenges that need to be addressed.
Expected outcomes: Outcomes will be negotiated as part of the grant application process prior to the approval of funds and may include performance measures disaggregated by demographic group, such as recipiency rate, timeliness of issuing payments, and quality of benefit eligibility determinations.
Intended beneficiaries: State workforce agencies.
Subrecipient activities: Not applicable.
