Grant Description
Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to implement the Maine Digital Equity Plan developed pursuant to the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program.
Activities to be performed: The proposed project activities include: comprehensive digital inclusion support, including digital skills training, technical support, and internet safety education; digital equity workshops; development and marketing of Maine Connectivity Authority's online digital equity asset inventory tool; statewide device donation and refurbishment campaign; leverage the work of CORE digital inclusion organizations with partners serving particular regions or specific covered populations to share best practices and digital inclusion expertise.
Expected outcomes: The proposed projects will result in: increased wages and productivity, increased workforce, increased degree and credential attainment, improved access to care through telehealth and telemonitoring, and enable healthy aging.
Intended beneficiaries: Residents of the State of Maine and principally unserved and underserved covered populations statewide.
Subrecipient activities: The recipient does plan to subaward funds. The purpose is for implementing the DE Plan activities.
