Grant Description
The SBP, Inc. proposes to have 148 AmeriCorps members who will provide disaster recovery, home rebuilding, and opportunity housing services in FL, TX, SC, NY, NJ, PR, and LA. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for providing disaster recovery services to 1,200 individuals, returning 800 of these individuals to safe, sanitary, and secure housing, and creating 60 new housing units, placing 120 qualified individuals in safe, sanitary, and secure housing.
In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 6,000 volunteers who will be engaged in assisting the program to rebuild disaster-impacted homes.
The CNCS investment of $4,672,498 will be matched with $2,279,267, $0 in public funding and $2,279,267 in private funding.
