Overview
Grant Description
The Commission recommends funding of three program operating grant proposals for competitive funding. These proposals represent the strongest and highest quality proposals selected, based upon a comprehensive, rigorous, deliberative, competitive review process. The recommended proposals are listed below in rank order:
1. Colorado Parent and Child Foundation/Colorado HIPPYCorps
2. Denver Public Schools Urban Education Service Corps (Education Award Only Program)
3. La Puente Home, Inc./Southwest Rural Education Collaborative
4. Partners in Routt County/School Based Mentoring Program
The remaining three proposals, Colorado Reading Corps, Colorado Youth Corps Association, and Denver Public Schools Math Fellows (School Turnaround Grant), are continuation proposals for their current three-year grant cycle. Colorado Reading Corps proposes funding for the third year of their grant. Colorado Youth Corps Association for the second year, and Denver Public Schools Math Fellows for year three of their grant.
