Project Grant

Overview

Grant Description
The NY State Commission on National & Community Service (the Commission) is proud to submit our 2019 AmeriCorps Formula Application Package. This portfolio recommends funding for 26 cost-reimbursement applications and one planning grant which illustrates NY State's commitment to maximize national service programs as a valuable resource to overcome unprecedented economic and social challenges facing our communities.

The Commission strongly contends that this portfolio of formula proposals and the resulting member service will help to meet the most pressing challenges that families and communities across NY State are facing. Many are in sync with the top priorities identified by our stakeholders and in our State Service Plan for 2018-2020.

The applications submitted to the Commission are both geographically and programmatically diverse, implementing member service activities in the statutorily designated national focus areas of disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families.
