Grant Description
The mission of Housing Action Illinois is to increase and preserve the supply of decent, affordable, accessible housing in Illinois for low- and moderate-income households.
The proposed VISTA project aligns with the economic opportunity focus area. The VISTA project will seek to expand and protect the availability of quality, accessible, affordable housing throughout Illinois by increasing the capacity of nonprofits and public agencies that serve families who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing housing instability or homelessness.
Expect to benefit 3,000 households. 30 VISTA members and 38 summer associates will contribute to goals of the project by creating and improving sustainable organizational systems and increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of programs.
