Grant Description
Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians mission is to develop and enjoy the advantages of democratic processes and opportunities to promote our general welfare, education, and prosperity, to promote good and law-abiding citizens.
The proposed VISTA project aligns with the economic opportunity focus area. The VISTA project will improve lives, strengthen the Promise Zone communities, and foster engagement through service and volunteering, and expects to benefit tribal members.
The five VISTA members will contribute to the goals of the project by performing activities such as a community assessment and develop systems of organizational effectiveness using technology over the course of one year.
