Grant Description
Purpose: The purpose of this grant is to implement the Idaho Digital Equity Plan developed pursuant to the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program.
Activities to be performed: Activities include cybersecurity and digital skills training, awarding subgrants to support local and regional technical support, device refurbishment centers, and programs providing devices to covered populations.
Activities will also include the creation and expansion of digital education internship programs with Idaho's local education agencies and higher education institutions.
Expected outcomes: The proposed projects will result in improved basic digital skills for covered populations, increased number of devices, and increased access to devices in public libraries and anchor institutions.
Intended beneficiaries: Residents of the State of Idaho and principally unserved and underserved covered populations statewide.
Subrecipient activities: The recipient does plan to subaward funds. The purpose is for implementing the DE Plan activities.
