Project Grant

Overview

Grant Description
The funds will be used to support services through Guardian Angel Community Services (GACS) Sexual Assault Service Center (SASC).

The program provides counseling, medical and legal advocacy, case management, a 24-hour hotline, and educational and informational services to the community.

Eligible service recipients are survivors of any type of sexual violence and their non-offending significant others or family members.

SASCMEDICAL and legal advocacy services take place at all Will and Grundy County hospitals and courthouses.

Case management and counseling services are provided in person at the main office in Joliet or one of the satellite offices in Plainfield, Crete, or Morris.

Virtual services are also available to ensure we meet our clients where they are at and eliminate any barriers to services, including transportation issues.

Counseling is provided on an individual, group, or family basis to qualifying individuals who are age 3 and older.

Advocacy and hotline services are available 24 hours a day every day of the year.

The funds will allow us to continue to provide emotional support and education to survivors of sexual violence and our community members.
