Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
This project will support victims services, including child advocacy centers, mental health services for children exposed to violence and trauma, legal assistance, and community-based victim service projects throughout the state of Alaska.
Due to a decrease in grant funding, such as the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding, direct service providers are facing drastic cuts, which inevitably will reduce critical services.
CDVSA will utilize funds from the OVC Congressional Byrne Grant to sub-grant to providers for programmatic and operational support to ensure victims continue to be served during this time of unstable and uncertain funding amounts.
Sub-recipient of these funds will be CDVSA sub-grantees in both rural and urban areas across the state of Alaska.
