Cooperative Agreement

Overview

Grant Description
Funding will support the continued training delivery of active shooter training to law enforcement agencies nationwide in support of the 2016 Preparing for Active Shooter Situations (PASS) program.

Through FY25 funding, training will incorporate law enforcement, fire, EMS, and dispatcher personnel, as well as community leaders, for a truly integrated training experience.

The core of each of the proposed training courses focuses on communication and coordination to integrate multiple law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies more effectively in an attempt to save as many lives as possible during active shooter attacks.

Programming will include a pilot of a new Active Attack Incident Management 3-day Train the Trainer course, and continue to test different aspects of first responder performance during active shooter training in conjunction with the Metabolic and Applied Physiology (MAP) Lab to increase the effectiveness of PASS active shooter training.

In addition to the training, a range of online resources to both professional responders and civilian community members will be provided.
