Grant Description
These grant funds will be utilized to hire a full-time employee, Accreditation and Quality Assurance Specialist, to assist with obtaining the initial accreditation goal anticipated to be completed over the next two (2) years in 2027.

This position will ensure consistent quality of program services, coordination of operations, monitor and review work products and documents necessary for professional credentials relative to establishing standards, regulations, and obligations to receive professional credentials to obtain accreditation.

Wake County will focus on: use of force, internal affairs, recruitment and hiring practices, community engagement, emergency response protocols, and training.

THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE OF COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING SERVICES (COPS OFFICE, HTTPS://COPS.USDOJ.GOV) IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT IT IS SEEKING APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING FOR THEĀ [INSERT PROGRAM SPECIFIC OVERVIEW] THE COPS OFFICE WELCOMES APPLICATIONS UNDER WHICH TWO OR MORE ENTITIES WOULD CARRY OUT THE FEDERAL AWARD; HOWEVER, ONLY ONE ENTITY MAY BE THE APPLICANT. ANY OTHER ENTITIES CARRYING OUT THE FEDERAL AWARD MUST BE IDENTIFIED AS PROPOSED SUBRECIPIENTS. THE APPLICANT MUST BE THE ENTITY THAT WOULD HAVE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY FOR CARRYING OUT THE AWARDS, INCLUDING ADMINISTERING THE FUNDING AND MANAGING THE ENTIRE PROJECT.
