Cooperative Agreement

Overview

Grant Description
The project will expand comprehensive de-escalation training and technical assistance (TTA) to urban, suburban, rural, and tribal participants in the Midwest region,

while maintaining the flexibility to provide national TTA coverage, collaborate with other regional training centers, and coordinate with the National Training Coordinator.

NCJTC plans to accomplish its scope by conducting in-person, live online instructor-led training de-escalation courses, train-the-trainer courses, and offer technical assistance opportunities.

NCJTC trainings will be open to all regional law enforcement and their community partners,

uniquely targeting marketing to the 48 tribal communities and their peacekeepers within Iowa (1), Michigan (12), Minnesota (12), Wisconsin (11), North Dakota (4), and South Dakota (8).

Technical assistance will also be made available to a national audience and will particularly address the needs of agencies not currently serviced by regional training centers and specifically tribal law enforcement and their community partners.
