Grant Description
Description: This action approves an award in the amount of $4,000,000.00 to Pickens Regional Joint Water System to implement its project to construct a new wastewater treatment plant as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction, if one has been approved for this project.
Activities: The activities to be performed include the execution and implementation of a drinking water infrastructure construction project.
Workplan activities consist of purchasing equipment for the Lake Keowee Water Treatment Plant.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include purchasing a ceramic membrane filtration system for the Lake Keowee Water Treatment Plant.
The expected outcomes include better drinking water treatment and conveyance for the customers of the Pickens Regional Water System.
The intended beneficiaries include residents of Pickens County, South Carolina.
