Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding in the amount of $6,752,972.00 to the City of Jacksonville, Florida to construct sanitary sewer systems that will provide central sewer service to an estimated 495 parcels as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act.

Activities: The activities to be performed include the execution and implementation of a septic tank phase out project to abandon existing septic tanks.

Workplan activities consist of the construction of the central sewer system improvements.

Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.

Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include the construction of a complete gravity sewer collection system with two submersible pump stations and force main piping, and central sewer service to the project area.

The expected outcomes include the abandonment of approximately 310 septic systems with resultant reductions in bacteriological and nutrient loading to the St. Johns River and tributaries, provide infrastructure that will support future development, and provide central sewer service to a total of 495 parcels.

The intended beneficiaries include the residents of the Christobel neighborhood in the City of Jacksonville in the State of Florida.
