Grant Description
Description: The purpose of this assistance award is to continue establishing and maintaining Copper River Native Association's (CRNA) environmental program, which coordinates shared objectives and localized strategies with its 6 member tribes.
CRNA provides resources, support, and assistance to address high priority environmental issues in the Copper River region.
Activities: The activities to be performed are to establish accurate water assessment data and establish baseline water data for further water monitoring and quality assessment, increase community knowledge of the effect of waste and recycling on the environment, to work with regional villages to increase community knowledge and awareness of environmental issues affecting their community and to work with villages to implement projects.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: Anticipated deliverables include quarterly progress reports, copies of presentations, meeting agendas, flyers, newsletters, activity schedules, trip reports, meeting notes, and training certificates.
Expected outcomes include improved community health and environmental protection through solid waste management, self-sufficient tribal environmental programs, and improved human and environmental health in tribal communities.
The intended beneficiaries are the community members in Copper River.
