Grant Description
Description: This action approves funding in the amount of $6,826,520 to Fleming County Schools to achieve reductions in diesel emissions for the Clean School Bus Program.
This agreement provides funding under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to Fleming County Schools for Fleming County Schools Clean Air Project.
This agreement is to replace existing school buses with clean and zero emission (ZE) school buses.
Activities: The activities include replacing 17 old diesel buses with 17 electric buses as well as AC Level 2 and DC fast charging infrastructure.
The new school buses will serve Fleming County Schools.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include the early replacement of 17 old diesel buses with 17 new electric buses and the associated charging infrastructure.
The expected outcomes include reductions in emissions of NOX, PM2.5, CO2, and HC resulting in cleaner air and improved health for residents of the community as well as the students and drivers on the buses; increased public awareness of electric school buses.
The intended beneficiaries include residents of Fleming County as well as students and drivers on the buses themselves.
