Description:
This agreement provides funding under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to Beaverton School District. This agreement is to replace existing school buses with clean and zero emission (ZE) school buses.
Activities:
The activities include replacing 50 diesel school buses with Class 8 and 7 zero emission electric school buses, 20 Level 2 chargers and two DC fast chargers. The new school buses will serve Beaverton School District.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables include replacing 50 buses, purchasing 22 EVSE, conducting and expanding workforce training, and deploying zero emission electric school buses on routes serving over 7,000 elementary students attending Title 1 funded schools and residing in communities disproportionately affected by diesel bus pollution.
The expected outcomes include emission reductions in PM2.5, NOX, CO and CO2, increased health benefits, reducing idling operations, increased understanding of the environmental and economic effectiveness of the implemented technology, and increased public awareness of ZESB.
The intended beneficiaries include Beaverton School Districts, over 7,000 school children, and communities surrounding the school bus depots and routes.
