Grant Description
DESCRIPTION:
This agreement provides funding to City of College Place in Washington to implement its wastewater treatment upgrades project as directed in the 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act.

ACTIVITIES:
The activities to be performed are the following: replacement of influent screens, replacement of grit removal system, rehabilitation of influent screens building, replacement of leaking air piping at the existing sequence batch reactors (SBRs), improvements to piping and replacement of valves at SBR and filter building, expansion of equalization tank, replacement of old electrical panels and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) throughout the plant, upgrade of lighting throughout the plant, abandonment of an old irrigation well, modifications to existing irrigation, and construction of two new groundwater monitoring wells.

SUBRECIPIENT:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.

OUTCOMES:
The anticipated deliverables are the successful construction of all the aforementioned wastewater treatment activities, which are expected to lead to City of College Place meeting National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit standards related to water quality. This will benefit its citizens.
