Description:
This agreement provides funding in the amount of $8,000,000 to the City of Rock Hill, South Carolina to implement its project to construct an alum sludge dewatering facility as directed in the 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act.
Activities:
The activities to be performed are construction of a new alum sludge dewatering facility at the Rock Hill Water Treatment Plant.
Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes:
The alum sludge dewatering facility is expected to lead to reduced solids loading at the Manchester Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. This in turn is expected to lead to improved treatment performance at the water treatment plant and water quality improvements in the Catawba River. The intended beneficiaries are Rock Hill Utilities, customers of Rock Hill Utilities, and residents of the City of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
