Overview
Grant Description
This project provides funding to the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma to supplement the remedial activities by cleanup of the Tar Creek Superfund site which contains marketable chat piles (CP073, CP077, and CB076).
Also, to conduct site characterization activities at this hazardous waste site, and to effectively implement the statutory requirement of CERCLA 121(F) which mandates substantial and meaningful state/tribal involvement.
This funding enables the Quapaw Tribe to lead this Superfund cleanup and to consult with EPA before, during, or after cleanup activities in such a manner which protects human health and the environment.
