Grant Description
Description: Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (MICHIGAN EGLE) will replace four undersized culverts with new, channel-spanning concrete bridges at the Twin Bridge Road crossing at the North Branch Au Sable River in Crawford County, MI.
Activities: Activities include construction of the new bridges, completing and implementing the sediment management strategy, project monitoring, coordinating project partners, financial management of the project, and grant administration and reporting.
Subrecipient: Subrecipient activities include coordination with local partners, contractor selection, and oversight of construction and the sediment management strategy.
Outcomes: The project will reconnect 20.4 upstream miles of high-quality trout habitat and restore a suite of natural rivers processes through this reach for the residents of Crawford County, MI.
