Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding to Village of Ivesdale to implement its water main improvement project as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.
Activities: The activities to be performed include the execution and implementation of a drinking water infrastructure construction project.
Workplan activities consist of replacing approximately 4700 L.F. of 4' cement asbestos watermains with 6' polyvinyl chloride (PVC) watermain, along with replacing 4 valves and 8 fire hydrants and all appurtenances.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include:
1. Implementation of reliable drinking water sources and water distribution.
2. Compliance with regulatory standards: ensure adherence to stringent EPA and state regulations for safe drinking water.
3. Improved water quality: installation of new watermain will ensure the quality of drinking water.
The expected outcomes include:
1. Enhanced drinking water quality: anticipated improvement in water quality metrics, including reduced levels of contaminants and improved taste and clarity of drinking water.
2. Public health benefits: expected reduction in health risks associated with consuming contaminated water, leading to improved community health outcomes.
3. Environmental protection: mitigation of pollutants discharged into water bodies due to improved treatment processes, fostering a healthier ecosystem.
4. Long-term infrastructure reliability: enhanced reliability and resilience of the water infrastructure, contributing to sustainable and reliable water supply for the community over the long term.
