Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding to City of Sun Prairie to implement its project to construct a new solar dryer as directed in the 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.
Activities: Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) solar radiation project; the activities to be performed include the execution and implementation of wastewater treatment plant improvements.
The project will improve and expand on the existing solids handling operations at the WPCF by adding critical equipment and replacing aging infrastructure.
The new facility will also generate Class A quality biosolids with a wider range of beneficial reuse applications.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include . . . a solar dryer for biosolids handling.
The expected outcomes include . . . decreased biosolids and reduction in energy use.
The intended beneficiaries include . . . residents within the City of Sun Prairie.
