Description:
This agreement provides funding under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD). This agreement is to replace existing school buses with clean and zero emission school buses.

Activities:
The activities include replacing 15 with ZE and direct current fast charging infrastructure. The new school buses will serve DPSCD.

Subrecipient:
No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.

Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables include the replacement of 15 diesel school buses with 15 ZE buses along with the purchase and installation of 8 DC fast chargers and respective infrastructure. Additionally, ongoing training for drivers, mechanics, and public safety officers will be provided. Community engagement and education will also be a priority for DPSCD.

The expected outcomes include reducing GHG emissions and fuel consumption which will ultimately improve air quality, increased understanding of the environmental and economic effectiveness of the implemented technology, increased public awareness, and an increased demand and conversion of fleets to ZE vehicles.

The intended beneficiaries include DPSCD, school children, and the communities surrounding the school Detroit, MI.
