Description:
This agreement provides funding to Village of Chagrin Falls to implement its project to wastewater treatment plant infrastructure rehabilitation as directed in the 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.

Activities:
The project includes repair and replacement of aged infrastructure. The work includes headworks replacement including influent pumping, screening and grit removal. Upgrades to unit processes for efficiency will be included such as changing the aeration from coarse bubble to fine bubble diffusers and blower replacement or modification to increase efficiency. In addition, the diversion structure that diverts flow to the EQ tank will be upgraded to respond more quickly to rising flows measured at the WWTP. Influent pumping capacity will be increased by replacement of pumps with higher efficiency and a controller that operates off a new influent meter to optimize operation.

Outcomes:
The anticipated deliverables are headworks replacement including influent pumping, screening and grit removal, which are expected to lead to fewer sanitary sewer overflows and improve the water quality for Village of Chagrin Falls.
