Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding to Springfield Water and Sewer Commission to implement its project to constructing a new drinking water treatment plant to serve 250,000 people in the Lower Pioneer Valley as directed in the 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.

Activities: The activities to be performed include the execution and implementation of a Clean Water Infrastructure construction project.

Workplan activities consist of encasement of critical belowground pipes under the administration building and the process area, as well as the installation of a base mat for the process area.

Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.

Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include encasement of critical belowground pipes under the administration building and the process area, as well as the installation of a base mat for the process area.

The expected outcomes include completed pipe encasement under the administration building and process areas.

Completed base mat installation in the process area. Daily construction reports are prepared.

The intended beneficiaries include 250,000 people in the Lower Pioneer Valley.
