Grant Description
Description: This agreement provides funding to the Town of Hartland, ME, to implement its project to make wastewater infrastructure improvements as directed in the 24 Consolidated Appropriations Act or as identified in an approved technical correction if one has been approved for this project.
Activities: The activities to be performed include the execution and implementation of a wastewater infrastructure construction project.
Workplan activities consist of wastewater treatment plant improvements.
Subrecipient: No subawards are included in this assistance agreement.
Outcomes: The anticipated deliverables include a general upgrade of the structural components of the operations building, adding a chemical storage building for chlorination and dechlorination at the existing chlorine contact tank, reconfiguration of the existing chlorine contact tank, addition of a second septage return pump, replacement of the splitter box, and adding sludge storage aeration to an existing tank.
The expected outcomes include improved effluent quality and improved health and safety for POTW operators.
The intended beneficiaries include residents of the Town of Hartland and users of the receiving water downstream of the treatment plant.
