Overview

Grant Description
This agreement provides assistance to the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission to implement its project to support the Long Island Sound Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan to protect and restore Long Island Sound. Specifically, under this cooperative agreement, the recipient will support the goals of the Long Island Sound Study Comprehensive and Conservation Management Plan by providing coordination/technical assistance in the following key areas:

(1) Assist with development, coordination, and implementation of bi-state public involvement, education, outreach activities.

(2) Program management, travel, and meeting support.

(3) New York State Habitat Restoration Coordinator will: prepare/assist/evaluate project applications for habitat restoration/assessment/monitoring, and develop partnerships.

(4) Long Island Sound Study New York State Department of Water Coordinator will assist in the planning and execution of any activities or projects the position.
