U.S-Saudi AI Research Commercialization Accelerator Program (ReCAP)

Background
The U.S. Embassy Riyadh Public Diplomacy Section announces an open competition for organizations to design and implement the U.S.–Saudi AI Research Commercialization Accelerator (ReCAP). This 12-month initiative aims to connect Saudi Arabia's expanding artificial intelligence innovation ecosystem with the United States' world-leading technology, investment, and commercialization ecosystem. The program seeks to advance U.S. foreign policy priorities by establishing the United States as Saudi Arabia's preferred partner for AI innovation and commercialization.

Grant Details
The program will source and evaluate 20–30 Saudi-developed AI technologies, advancing approximately 10 of the most promising through applied, U.S.-led commercialization programming and Innovation Labs. Participants will be connected to the American AI ecosystem through an intensive U.S. study tour, culminating in a high-level U.S.–Saudi AI Research Commercialization Summit. Key objectives include:

1) Identifying commercially promising AI technologies;
2) Validating market potential;
3) Advancing technologies toward commercial deployment;
4) Strengthening connections to the U.S. AI ecosystem; and
5) Generating measurable follow-on opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, public and private educational institutions, public international organizations, and governmental institutions. For-profit entities are not eligible to apply. Organizations must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) issued via SAM.gov and valid registration in SAM.gov. Only one proposal per organization is allowed.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is set for 12 months, starting from October 1, 2026.

Grant Value
$900,000 is the total value of the grant, with one anticipated award.

Place of Performance
The grant will be performed primarily in Saudi Arabia.
