PAS Amman invites proposals from U.S. and Jordanian not-for-profit civil society organizations, think tanks, cultural and arts organizations, government institutions, and academic institutions for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and Jordan through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. Particular consideration will be given to programs with strategic and sustained activities for a duration of 12-18 months, as well as to applications that integrate multiple aspects of U.S. public diplomacy (e.g. American Spaces, Regional English Language Office, youth and opinion leaders, alumni outreach, etc.)

Background
The U.S. Embassy in Amman Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce that funding is available through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. This is an Annual Program Statement, outlining our funding priorities, our thematic priorities, and the procedures for submitting requests for funding for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024.

Grant Details
PAS Amman invites proposals from U.S. and Jordanian not-for-profit civil society organizations, think tanks, cultural and arts organizations, government institutions, and academic institutions for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and Jordan through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. The programs must include an American cultural element or connection with American experts, organizations, or institutions to promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.

Particular consideration will be given to programs with strategic and sustained activities for a duration of 12-18 months, as well as to applications that integrate multiple aspects of U.S. public diplomacy.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include registered not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations with programming experience; individuals (up to $150,000); and non-profit or governmental educational institutions. For-profit or commercial entities are not eligible to apply.

Period of Performance
Performance periods are based on the needs of the project, although proposed programs should generally be completed in 12 to 18 months. The proposed program schedule is from March 1, 2024, to October 1, 2024.

Grant Value
$1,000,000 is available for the grant program with individual awards ranging from $50,000 to $500,000.

Place of Performance
All programs should target audiences in Jordan.
