The U.S. Embassy Kigali Public Diplomacy Section is pleased to announce a funding opportunity through the Educational and Cultural Exchange Programs Appropriation Overseas Grants.

The grantee will coordinate with the EducationUSA Advisor of the Public Diplomacy Section to carry out a college preparatory program for 30 students who will apply to U.S. colleges and universities for 2024 fall admission and 2025. The college preparatory course will cover SAT, English proficiency classes, and essay writing skills. The grantee will also be responsible for paying for one SAT exam for each student and for one DuoLingo English test and one CSS profile account each.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include individuals (U.S. or Foreign), public and private educational institutions (U.S. or Foreign), and non-governmental organizations (U.S. or Foreign). All organizations must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number issued via www.SAM.gov as well as a valid registration on www.SAM.gov.

Period of Performance
The length of the performance period is expected to be between 8 to 12 months, with an anticipated program start date of May 6, 2024.

Grant Value
The total available funding is $24,000, with an anticipated award amount of $24,000.

Place of Performance
The program will be performed in Kigali, Rwanda.
