Background
The goal of TB Free Uzbekistan Activity is to reduce the burden of tuberculosis (TB) in Uzbekistan. The activity will contribute to the USAID/Uzbekistan’s Strategic Framework and its Development Objective 4: Quality, People-Centered, and Integrated Healthcare Provision for Priority Disease Threats Expanded.

Grant Details
The TB Free Uzbekistan activity will achieve the 2027 National/ United Nations High Level Meeting (UNHLM) tuberculosis targets through optimized reach, cure, prevent and sustain technical area interventions. It will expand high quality, people-centered, affordable, and integrated TB-related health activities with robust national and sub-national health systems. The activity will serve as USAID/Uzbekistan’s flagship activity to support the National TB Program (NTP) under the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Uzbekistan.
It will focus on increasing the effectiveness of TB prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment services for all forms of TB and strengthening TB Health Systems. The activity will align with the National TB Program's (NTP) 2021-2026 National Strategic Plan, USAID's Global TB Accelerator to Stop TB, WHO End TB Strategy, and the Global Fund's TB grant agreement.
