The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Single Source renewal application to continue scientific service as the Scientific and Data Coordination Center for the Liver Cirrhosis Network.The application will be peer-reviewed and if it is not a meritorious application, it will not be funded. This is a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a Single Source that will invite application(s) from eligible organization(s) to apply. Please see Section III. Eligibility for additional information. In accordance with NIH standard peer-review processes, the application(s) will be peer-reviewed, and only meritorious application(s) will be considered for funding.

Background
The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is issuing a Single Source renewal application to continue scientific service as the Scientific and Data Coordination Center for the Liver Cirrhosis Network. This initiative aims to address the significant public health burden posed by liver cirrhosis, which is a result of various chronic liver diseases.

The NIDDK established the Liver Cirrhosis Network to improve understanding of clinical and translational aspects of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, including pro- and anti-fibrotic mechanisms.

Grant Details
The primary tasks under this grant include:
1. Completing enrollment in the Liver Cirrhosis Network Cohort and the Rosuvastatin Efficacy and Safety for Cirrhosis in the United States clinical studies.

4. Coordinating biospecimen tracking, distribution, and depositing into the NIDDK Data and Biospecimen Repository.
