Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 15.201(e), the United States Government, represented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Bangladesh, is publishing this Request for Information (RFI) to offer the opportunity for all interested organizations and individuals to provide recommendations on approaches to improve the protection of key wildlife species and their habitats in Bangladesh at the local, regional, and national levels.

The targeted activity will take urgent and significant actions to reduce the degradation of natural habitats, halt the loss of biodiversity, and protect and prevent the extinction of key wildlife species that are vulnerable, endangered, or threatened species. This RFI is also intended to inform USAID about overall market dynamics and interests and capabilities of potential organizations and individuals active in the sector.

Background
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Bangladesh has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather recommendations on approaches to improve the protection of key wildlife species and their habitats in Bangladesh at the local, regional, and national levels. The purpose of the RFI is to inform USAID about market dynamics and interests and capabilities of potential organizations and individuals active in the sector.

Grant Details
The targeted activity will take urgent and significant actions to reduce the degradation of natural habitats, halt the loss of biodiversity, and protect and prevent the extinction of key wildlife species that are vulnerable, endangered, or threatened species. The activity will include keystone species such as Asian Elephants, Bengal Tigers, Sharks and Rays. It aims to protect wildlife that are vulnerable, threatened, and critically endangered in Bangladesh. The activity will complement ongoing conservation efforts in various areas including Sundarbans, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Cox’s Bazaar and Teknaf, Sylhet, Sunamganj, other terrestrial and marine areas.
The envisioned length of the activity is five years with an estimated budget between $10 and $15 million dollars.

Eligibility Requirements
All interested organizations and individuals are encouraged to provide information or comments by the closing date. Submission via email is required; phone calls or hard copy delivery will not be accepted. Respondents must use size 12 Calibri, 8.5 by 11-inch paper, single-spaced pages for all narrative documents with each page numbered consecutively. Submissions should be limited to no more than 7 pages. The submission language should be in English.

Period of Performance
The place of performance for this activity will be Bangladesh with an envisioned length of five years.

Grant Value
The estimated budget for any potential activity will be between $10 and $15 million dollars.
