The United States Agency for International Development Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (USAID/DRC) is gathering information to develop several complementary, integrated health activities that aim to support stronger, more resilient health systems at all levels; save lives; decrease morbidity and disability; and increase the potential of women, newborns, children, families, and communities to thrive.1,2 These future activities will support DRC Ministry of Health priorities including to advance universal health care coverage; complement other donor investments; leverage previous health and other US Government (USG) investments; build on evidence-based practices to achieve and sustain health outcomes; and mitigate the need for humanitarian assistance.

Grant Details
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit recommendations to advance USAID’s health priorities and goals in the DRC. The RFI includes questions seeking recommendations aligned with health programming priorities such as partnering with communities and the Government of DRC to scale up and sustain equitable coverage of high-quality, high-impact primary health care programs; strengthening supply chains for health commodities, equipment, and supplies; supporting people-centered care; tailoring interventions for specific contexts and populations, including youth and persons vulnerable to sexual and gender-based violence. It also seeks information on expanding partnerships led by local organizations, including through multisectoral collaboration. The RFI also seeks information on innovative approaches and interventions that USAID should introduce or expand to achieve the greatest health impact in the DRC.

Eligibility Requirements
The RFI encourages local organizations to respond. It does not constitute any obligation on the part of the USG to procure supplies or services or to issue a solicitation. Not responding to this request does not preclude participation in any future solicitation.
