Description

This notice of funding opportunity seeks to increase the availability of medical forensic exams for sexual assault victims. Ideal award recipients will develop or expand Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SANE/SAFE) programs, hire certified SANEs/SAFEs, establish or enhance coordination between law enforcement agencies, healthcare facilities, and victim advocates, and retain SANE nurses by addressing vicarious trauma and burnout.
