OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. To enhance capacity to identify, assist, and provide services to all victims of human trafficking, OVC leads the Nation in supporting victim-centered and trauma-informed programs, policies, and resources that promote justice, access, and empowerment. With this solicitation, OVC provides support to develop and expand multidisciplinary, collaborative model task forces to combat human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000 and its reauthorizations. This program will provide funding for services to victims of human trafficking, as defined by 22 U.S.C. 7102(11).

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community.
OVC leads the Nation in supporting victim-centered and trauma-informed programs, policies, and resources that promote justice, access, and empowerment.

Grant Details
OVC provides support to develop and expand multidisciplinary, collaborative model task forces to combat human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000 and its reauthorizations.
The program will provide funding for services to victims of human trafficking, as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 7102(11).
The solicitation includes three purpose areas:
1) Development of New Local or Tribal Human Trafficking Task Forces;
2) Expansion of Local or Tribal ECM Human Trafficking Task Forces Previously Funded by OJP;
3) Enhanced Support for Statewide Task Forces (New or Previously OJP-funded).
Each purpose area has specific eligibility requirements and deliverables related to developing co-leadership structure, implementing protocols, identifying and serving victims of human trafficking, conducting investigations and prosecutions, providing a diverse set of services to victims, collecting data for ongoing assessment activities, delivering targeted outreach, training, public awareness materials with a shared message, engaging in practices that remove barriers to receiving services and support survivor autonomy.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include city or township governments, county governments, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, and state governments.
Each lead applicant must submit their entity’s application separately into JustGrants.
Applicants who do not apply with an eligible partner will not be considered for funding.
