Description

The purpose of the NIH Research Conference Grant (R13) is to support high quality conferences that are relevant to the public health and to the scientific mission of the participating Institutes and Centers.
Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Conference Grant (R13) aims to support high-quality conferences that are relevant to the public health and the scientific mission of the participating Institutes and Centers. The grant is intended to enhance diversity by increasing the participation of individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from underrepresented groups, in all aspects of conference planning and implementation.

Grant Details
The purpose of the NIH Research Conference Grant (R13) is to support high-quality scientific conferences that are relevant to the NIH's mission and to the public health. The grant supports symposiums, seminars, workshops, or any other organized and formal meetings where individuals assemble for the primary purpose of exchanging technical information and views or exploring a defined subject, problem, or area of knowledge. The NIH encourages conference grant applicants to enhance diversity by increasing the participation of individuals from diverse backgrounds in all aspects of conference planning and implementation. Applications for NIH support of conferences must include a plan to enhance diversity in all aspects of conference planning and implementation. Support for conferences is contingent on the fiscal and programmatic interests and priorities of the individual NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs).
