The purpose of this program is to maintain and expand a national clearinghouse for information on rural health that supports improving health care in rural areas, including access to health care. The clearinghouse should build upon federally funded resources that currently exist, and will serve as a primary resource for information, opportunities, and tools related to rural health nationally.

Background
The National Rural Health Information Clearinghouse Program is issued by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) through the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP). The program aims to maintain and expand a national clearinghouse for information on rural health, supporting improved healthcare access and outcomes in rural areas. This initiative builds upon existing federally funded resources and serves as a primary resource for information, opportunities, and tools related to rural health across the nation.

Grant Details
The recipient of this cooperative agreement will be responsible for:

1) Disseminating a wide range of up-to-date rural health information to diverse audiences nationally in a publicly accessible manner;

2) Identifying and informing rural health providers and other interested parties of the latest relevant rural health news and developments in real-time;

3) Analyzing and sharing best practices, innovations, and policy updates pertaining to rural health care.

The program will also support outreach efforts, including producing newsletters, articles, and maintaining an operational website that provides comprehensive resources related to rural health.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include domestic public or private organizations such as public or private institutions of higher education, non-profits with or without 501(c)(3) status, for-profit organizations including small businesses, state and local governments, independent school districts, Native American tribal governments and organizations. Individuals are not eligible to apply.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this grant is from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2030. The funding will be distributed over five budget periods of twelve months each.

Grant Value
The expected total available funding for FY 2025 is $3,500,000. There will be one cooperative agreement awarded under this opportunity.

Place of Performance
The grant activities will be performed nationally across the United States.
