HUD FY2023 Healthy Homes and Weatherization Cooperation Demonstration

The major goals and objectives include demonstrating effective strategies for coordination between HUD’s HHP and DOE’s WAP programs, reducing WAP deferrals through coordination with HHP programs, demonstrating sustainable models of inter-program cooperation, supporting the collection of data to evaluate the housing interventions conducted through inter-program coordination, and demonstrating effective models for the sustainable financing of coordinated healthy homes/weatherization interventions. The program also encourages community partnerships with medical care providers and insurers to leverage funding awarded through this NOFO.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include organizations that have not received an award under the FY 2021 or FY 2022 Healthy Homes and Weatherization Cooperation Demonstration Grant Program cycle. The program requires compliance with Secretary Fudge's April 12, 2022 memorandum on equity requirements, waste, fraud, and abuse requirements, as well as nondiscrimination and equal opportunity. Applicants are also required to address issues related to advancing racial equity, affirmative marketing, affirmatively furthering fair housing, and experience promoting racial equity.
