Description

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity is to award one 24-month project to improve access to training and technical assistance (T/TA) on adoption-sensitive care. The T/TA is targeted for hospital-based service providers, doctors, nurses, and staff who provide pregnancy or adoption information and referrals. The recipient will provide T/TA to hospital staff using the existing Understanding Infant Adoption curriculum, or an equivalent, in accordance with Infant Adoption Awareness Training Program best-practice guidelines. Applicants, according to the Explanatory Statement accompanying Public Law 118-47 associated with the appropriation of these funds, must be a (1) health care-based, nonprofit education organization (2) focused on adoption, that (3) partners with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and community organizations.
