Description

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID/Burma) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified US and non-US organizations to implement the High Impact Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (HI-MNCH) Activity in which USAID seeks to provide up to $20,000,000 in total USAID funding over a 5-year period. The purpose of this Activity is to improve maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) outcomes among vulnerable women and children in underserved areas in Burma.. Eligibility for this award is not restricted.

Background
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID/Burma) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified US and non-US organizations to implement the High Impact Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (HI-MNCH) Activity. The purpose of this Activity is to improve maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) outcomes among vulnerable women and children in underserved areas in Burma.

Grant Details
The High Impact Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Activity aims to improve maternal, newborn, and child health outcomes among vulnerable women and children in underserved areas in Burma. The three objectives of the Activity are to: (1) improve availability and accessibility of MNCH services; (2) improve the quality of MNCH services; (3) increase the demand for and utilization of high-quality MNCH services among vulnerable women and children in underserved areas in Burma.

The Activity will engage in direct delivery of MNCH services in select communities and sites to increase new, convenient, and reachable access points for women including in community-based or other non-clinical locations as well as private sector, non-governmental organizations, drop-in-centres, community, public sector. The total USAID funding over a 5-year period is up to $20,000,000.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility for this award is not restricted. USAID welcomes applications from organizations that have not previously received financial assistance from USAID. Each organization may only submit one application under this notice of funding opportunity. Individuals are not eligible to submit applications.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is five years. The estimated start date will be within the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2022.
