Save America's Treasures grants from the Historic Preservation Fund provide preservation and/or conservation assistance to nationally significant historic properties and collections. Background
The FY2024 Historic Preservation Fund - Save America's Treasures - Collection Grants program is administered by the National Park Service (NPS) in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Projects must comply with various federal regulations including NEPA and must not exceed certain limitations on administrative costs.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include state governments, county governments, city or township governments, special district governments, independent school districts, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education), nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education), private institutions of higher education, and other entities as specified.

Individual resources are only eligible for one SAT grant per 54 USC 3089.

Period of Performance
Projects receiving funding will start once funding has been secured and awards have been made.

Agreements are not effective until fully executed with signature from the NPS Financial Assistance Awarding Officer. The anticipated award date is August 1, 2025.

Grant Value
The estimated total funding available is $25.5 million with individual grants ranging from a minimum of $25,000 to a maximum of $750,000. A minimum match of 50% is required.
