Description

The goal of the Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grants Program is to fund subgrant PROGRAMS that support the rehabilitation of historic properties to foster economic development in rural communities. These subgrant programs, managed by States, Tribes, Certified Local Governments, special district governments, and non-profits will select, fund, and manage preservation projects for historic properties to include architectural/engineering services and physical preservation.

Eligible applicants include State governments, County governments, City or township governments, Special district governments, Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education), Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status (other than institutions of higher education), Tribal Historic Preservation Offices, State Historic Preservation Offices, and Certified Local Governments.

Period of Performance
The anticipated project start date is October 1, 2026, with an anticipated project end date of September 30, 2030.

Grant Value
The total value of the grant program is estimated at $10 million. Individual grant awards can range from a minimum of $200,000 to a maximum of $750,000.

Place of Performance
The grant will be performed in rural areas as defined by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for Rural Business Programs.
