Description

To advise State Workforce Agencies, or agencies designated by Governors as Cooperating State Agencies (CSAs) (also jointly referred to as states ) of the state distribution amounts of FY 2023 TAA Program TaOA funds by completing and submitting Standard Form (SF) 424, Application for Federal Assistance, through www.grants.gov. The 10 percent limitation on use of TaOA funds for state administration, DOES NOT APPLY to the FY 2023 TaOA funds. Background
The U.S. Department of Labor is advising State Workforce Agencies, or agencies designated by Governors as 'Cooperating State Agencies' (CSAs) of the state distribution amounts of FY 2023 TAA Program TaOA funds.

The purpose is to advise states of the state distribution amounts of FY 2023 TAA Program TaOA funds.

Grant Details
States are required to implement the guidance set forth and continue to administer the TAA Program in accordance with applicable regulations and administrative guidance.

States must inform all appropriate staff of the contents of this guidance.

States must complete their SF-424 and submit these forms via www.grants.gov no later than thirty days from the publication date of this guidance.

The FY 2023 TaOA funds are available for expenditure for three fiscal years (FY 2023, FY 2024, and FY 2025).

States may use TaOA funds to provide benefits and services to members of worker groups covered by a certification under various programs in accordance with the requirements in the TAA law in effect at the time of filing of such petition for certification.

Eligibility Requirements
States are required to access FY 2023 TaOA funds by completing their SF-424 and submitting these forms via www.grants.gov no later than thirty days from the publication date of this guidance.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is for three fiscal years (FY 2023, FY 2024, and FY 2025).

Grant Value
The total value of the grant is $18,358,956.00 distributed among various states.

Place of Performance
The grant will be performed by State Workforce Agencies or agencies designated by Governors as 'Cooperating State Agencies' (CSAs) across different states.
