Background
The Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program, launched by the NIH in 2016, aims to enhance the health of children for generations to come. The program established an observational ECHO Cohort study by funding a consortium to combine data and biospecimens from multiple maternal-child cohort studies and collect new data under a standardized protocol. This grant opportunity seeks applications to access limited identifiable data or biospecimens from the ECHO Cohort for research in high-priority areas of maternal and child health.

Grant Details
The X01 Resource Access Award allows investigators to access non-publicly available data or biospecimens from the ECHO Cohort for ancillary studies. These studies must derive funding from non-ECHO sources and require an X01 award application. The tasks include:
1) Analyzing limited identifiable data on the ECHO Cohort Data Platform;
2) Accessing biospecimens from the ECHO Biorepository;
3) Generating new assay data for subsequent analysis;
4) Returning generated data to the ECHO Cohort Data Platform. No funds are provided through this award; it facilitates adherence to NIH and ECHO-specific policies during study performance.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, local governments, state governments, tribal governments, and other organizations as specified. Foreign organizations are not eligible. Applicants must provide evidence of adequate funding from non-ECHO sources to cover all costs associated with conducting their research.

Period of Performance
The maximum project period is three years, with specific application due dates outlined in the announcement.

Grant Value
This grant does not provide funding; instead, it grants access to resources necessary for conducting research.

Place of Performance
The research may be conducted at various locations as determined by the applicant's institution.
