Description

The purpose of the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRPs) is to achieve the goals of and improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act, by generating new knowledge, or developing methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technologies that advance a wide range of outcomes among people with disabilities, especially people with disabilities who have the greatest support needs. Under this particular DRRP priority, the objective is to improve long-term health outcomes of people with traumatic brain injury (TBI). The grantee may conduct research at the intervention-development stage, and must conduct at least one study at the intervention efficacy stage. The grantee will conduct this research to develop and test interventions, services, and supports to address the complex and varied life-long health care needs of people with TBI. This grant will have a 60-month project period, with five 12-month budget periods.
